Neutrinos play fundamental roles in the evolution of stars and stellar explosions despite their weakly interacting nature. They also serve as one of the key messengers to probe not only the deep interior of these astrophysical objects and events, but also physics beyond the Standard Model in complementary to terrestrial experiments. In this talk, I will discuss our recent efforts in understanding the nature and impact of neutrino flavor oscillations and interactions in explosive astrophysical environments such as supernovae and binary neutron star mergers. I will also discuss how we may use these events and the associated neutrinos to contribute to searches of particle physics candidates beyond the Standard Model.
